When Gary Komarin was in a tropical island, he had drinks with a couple from Cap Ferret who told him a story of a girl who sang at the top of a mountain. Her name was Pia Puno and her voice travelled across the valley with amazing purity and grace. The artwork’s title, “The Ballad of Pia Puno”, came from this story.
