While in Hockney's painting a character tries to shield his eyes from the sun, in Lami's painting an astronaut shields his eyes from a bright light that represents the uncertainty of what is to come. A future that we do not know how it will unfold. A moment that represents both the fear and excitement before our journey to the stars.
