The microcosm-macrocosm analogy refers to a historical view that posits a structural similarity between humans (the microcosm, i.e., the small order or small universe) and the cosmos as a whole (the macrocosm, i.e., the large order or large universe). Given this fundamental analogy, truths about the nature of the cosmos as a whole can be derived from truths about human nature, and vice versa.
Generation Lost in Space depicts the macrocosm seen as a deep blue sky full of stars, and the microcosm where, upon closer inspection, the bright shapes in that sky turn out to be sperm floating in space. With each new generation, we drive the future of humanity. We want to reach for the stars. But what if we get lost in the vastness of the universe?
