The artist often journeys into his subconscious, taking symbols, figures and shapes from his dreams and daydreams and incorporating them into his paintings. Although the interpretation of Lami's dream relates to his own life experience, the artist believes in universal truths beyond our understanding. Hugo's work searches for the essence of these truths, which are reflected in the artist's subconscious. This series of Unknown Planets belongs to Lami's fictional universe where time, matter and space have no rules. These planets are to be named by the person who acquires them after a conversation with the artist.
