The oval work Untitled (After Fragonard) 2021 is a take on ‘The Beautiful Servant’ by Fragonard. In this work I wanted to bring back the sweet and soft colors of the Rococo. I used more pieces of vintage tapestry wall-hangings that mimics the old Rococo tapestries. One can still find and see parts of skies, trees dresses and ladies. By first obscuring and manipulating the digital image of the painting into swirls of paint I wanted to make the original work abstract.
